Ready to overcome emotional challenges and achieve your wellness goals?

I help people elevate their self-concepts and relationships by providing emotional support.
I love therapy because I believe it is the perfect problem-solving option for people searching for a confidential and effective support system outside of family and friends. Whether you’re looking for long-term therapy or just one coaching session, my approach is highly structured, evidence-based, and comprehensive.

Are you looking for support and guidance to help you make important life decisions?
One of the primary reasons people seek therapy is to overcome the feeling of being stuck in different aspects of their lives. This may manifest as being trapped reliving a past traumatic experience, ruminating on relationship issues, or feeling unfulfilled professionally or personally.
I get it.
As human beings, we are naturally inclined to seek progress and growth in our lives. When we feel stuck in a rut or unable to make progress, it can have a significant negative impact on our overall sense of well-being and life satisfaction.
As a licensed psychotherapist, I provide a safe and supportive environment where you can freely explore your thoughts and emotions.
I’ve done this for hundreds of people throughout my career and I would like to do the same for you. While this process of emotional transformation can be challenging, if you commit to doing the necessary work, you will see results.
Investing in yourself is one of the most important decisions you can make, so take the first step by completing the Therapy Readiness Workbook. This can be a useful tool to assess your current mental and emotional state, and to identify areas where therapy could provide the most benefit.

I earned my BA at the University of Virginia, MS at Columbia University, and PhD in Clinical Sexology. My research focuses on identifying, adapting, and integrating clinical reasoning methods into clinical sexology, with the ultimate goal of helping sex therapists improve the quality of care their clients receive. In 2021, I was awarded a research fellowship from the California Institute of Integral Studies under Dr. Penny Harvey, where I explored sexual preferences across sexual orientations. My research is the first to propose a collection of sexology-informed clinical reasoning principles. It is also the first to adapt Dr. Bernard Charlin’s Learning by Concordance (LBC) model from French to English. In 2022, I collaborated with Dr. Charlin to construct the only LBC lesson plan approved for sex therapists and presented my research findings at the Black Sexuality and Educators Conference in Montreal, Canada, the Society for Sex Therapy and Research and the Society for Personality and Social Psychology.
In addition to my academic and professional experience, I am deeply passionate about social justice work. In 2022, she was appointed to the Board of Directors for the Community Investment Collaborative, or CIC, a nonprofit organization that provides financing and support to under-resourced entrepreneurs (especially women and people of color). In 2023 I was nominated to serve on the steering committee for Central Virginia Clinicians of Color Network.
